Buchanan Hauling & Rigging was founded in June 1996 by Geary Buchanan. At the time, Geary was an owner-operator with 20+ years of experience in the trucking industry. He started the company with one truck, and a trailer, and dreams to supply quality transportation at a fair market rate, building long-lasting business relationships, and providing high-quality jobs to company drivers and owner-operators.

Buchanan Hauling started with no business plan, only the notion that hard work would pay off and that Buchanan Hauling and Rigging could out-work and out-perform the competition.
Since the beginning, our company has experienced double-digit growth, all while maintaining our focus on continually improving the way we do our jobs. We pay special attention to suggestions and comments by our customers and vendors. At Buchanan, we are always trying to improve our service.

We are proud to provide service to all of North America with no trans-loading at the borders of Canada or Mexico.

Our Owner Operators are paid:
68% of GROSS load when pulling our trailers
75% of GROSS load (If have your own trailer)
65% when pulling RGN or bigger trailers (loads pay more)

NO trailer rental, and full maintenance (Use our trailer)
NO E-Log Fees (Samsara for E Logs)
Bobtail insurance (optional through us or individual)
Company fuel card (Comdata) + discounts
You keep 100% of the Fuel surcharge

Our Company Drivers are paid:
Flatbed - 29% of the gross load and 100% tarping & chaining fees.
Dry Van - $.75/mile all practical miles loaded or not. Average 2500 mi/week
RGN/Step - 29% of the gross load and 100% tarping & chaining fees.
$800 Orientation pay
Full benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k with 4% company match.
Paid Holidays
10 Vacation days your first year. Gain 1 day for every year in service up to 19 total days!
We offer Direct Deposit, paid weekly.
Up to $2800/ per year in safety bonuses paid out quarterly for safe driving, clean inspections during DOT, and pre/post trip inspections.
